On Tuesday, Santos coach Dorival Júnior talked about the possibility of São Paulo playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso returning to the club in 2016.
In an interview with Bola da Vez, Dorival also discussed where Ganso could fit in his team, and thinks the player can operate as a box-to-box midfielder. Ganso is one of the names in the sights of the club for 2016, and the coach seems to have confidence that he can recapture his old form. Together, Dorival and Ganso has won the Paulistão and Copa do Brasil at Santos. Dorival said: “At what position? It’s difficult. It would be important to return to Santos? I don’t know, we need to see what he thinks, and what São Paulo thinks too. These are situations that are being conversed, but nothing definite.”
He added: “Box-to-box midfielder? Certainly! It is a situation that’s being conversed in Santos, and that’s why we started to sketch some possibilities. Ganso is a name that pleases me, always pleased me. I’m sure he can recover the best conditions.”
