One of the stars of the Brazilian Championship this season, Santos’ 25-year-old playmaker Lucas Lima has drawn a lot of attention from clubs in Europe.
The player even came extremely close to completing a transfer to Portuguese club FC Porto last summer, but opted to stay at Santos and achieved his dream of representing the Brazilian national team. Lucas Lima’s representative Édson Khodor talked to CalcioMercato and confirmed that Real Madrid are interested in signing his client. According to the report from AS, clubs from the Premier League and Italian Serie A would’ve already made contact with his team Santos and have shown greater interest in a transfer than Real Madrid. Édson Khodor said: “We are talking with several teams, and specifically, our representative in Italy has met with Real Madrid.”
Lucas Lima has had an excellent year with Santos, and also scored his first international goal against rivals Argentina in Buenos Aires in the third round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
