Brasileirão champion with Cruzeiro in 2014, Bolivian striker Marcelo Moreno still has his name well remembered by the club’s fans, who even dreams of his return.
Currently playing for Changchun Yatai in China, the striker says he’s enjoying the new stage of his career in Asia, but revealed he still has the desire to return to work in Brazil. He was quoted in Globo Esporte: “I identify a lot with Brazilian football, it was where it all started. Vitória opened the door for me to play, show my work and I certainly plan to go back. But I still have a year of contract and I’m very happy because I was received very well in China and all are trying to help me a lot for me to show my work.”
Recently, many players decide to go to the Asian country, and are mainly lured by the attractive salary offered. However, when they arrive in China, it’s another reality, with completely different culture and food. Moreno added: “You have to go prepared for anything, because it’s totally different. You have the Chinese culture, another foreign player, but you have to live with it. The language is difficult. You have to try to adapt the best way. Some clubs have a good structure, but others are still missing a lot. It is very difficult, but with willpower and professionalism, I believe it will work.”
