Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato gave a press conference on Wednesday at São Paulo on the eve of the league fixture with Atlético Mineiro.
Pato is the club"s top-scorer this season, and says he doesn"t mind scoring on Thursday against second-placed Atlético, even if it helps Corinthians to be league champions. As Pato is on loan from Corinthians, he can"t play against the club that owns him, and says he"s focused on the three remaining games. He said: “I have three very important games left, and then I"ll have time to think about what will happen. These three games can change a lot of my future; go out or stay… I think a lot about these three games. My year is not over, haven"t thought about my future yet, I have three games but have a will, to return to Europe, but it relies heavily on these three games. The São Paulo fans can stay calm, because I"m focused. It"s three games so I can finish this year well."
When asked about the Copa do Brasil final between Santos and Palmeiras, he said: “I hope Palmeiras. Paulo Nobre [president] is a good guy, smart, did a great job at Palmeiras."
About the possibility of scoring on Thursday and helping Corinthians become champions, he said: “I don"t think about it because my goal is São Paulo. I think about São Paulo, and if it"s important to score a goal to take them to Libertadores, then I won"t score just one, but two goals."
