Since the knee injury to Lionel Messi, Brazilian superstar Neymar took center stage and has helped to keep Barcelona at the top of the table in the Champions League and La Liga.
Luis Suárez once again stated that the Argentine number 10 is above the rest and is the best player in the world, something accepted by him and also Neymar. The Uruguayan praised Neymar for his recent performances, and went onto say that he"s the second best player in the world, above Real Madrid"s Cristiano Ronaldo. Suárez said: “Of course Leo [Messi] is the best because of what he’s done and what he continues to do. Neither Neymar nor I think we"re better. We just score goals, knowing that Leo"s the best. Neymar is on spectacular form and you could easily say that he’s the second best player in the world. As a team-mate, I’m proud to see him playing so well."
On the upcoming El Clásico, he said: “I remember watching the Clásico on TV and seeing Ronaldinho score. They’re great games where you see lots of good football. When you are out on the pitch you feel like you’re living every footballer’s dream."
