São Paulo’s 22-year-old defensive midfielder Rodrigo Caio does not hide his affection for Spanish giants Real Madrid and revealed his wish to play for them in the future.
Rodrigo Caio is one of Brazil’s rising talents, and is a part of the Olympic national team preparing for next year’s tournament in Rio de Janeiro. When asked about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, he has no doubt and thinks the Portuguese is a more complete player than the Argentine. He told Goal Brasil: “I have a very special affection for Real Madrid; one of the biggest clubs in the world, because at the time of the Galácticos, they had several Brazilians. God willing and if I have the conditions to get there, it is a team that I dream of, a distant dream, because at this moment I only think of São Paulo.”
He added: “Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi? Cristiano Ronaldo, definitely. I think he’s a more complete player, hits with the left foot, right, head, technically speaks for himself. So I think he’s more complete than Messi.”
