Brazilian captain Neymar received praise from Argentina coach Tata Martino a day before the South American classic at the Estádio Monumental de Núñez in Buenos Aires.
Neither Argentina’s coach could ignore the individual brilliance of the 23-year-old Barcelona forward who scored a stunning goal in the last league fixture before the international break. Neymar flicked the ball over Villarreal’s Jaume Costa inside the penalty area, took himself a spin and then volleyed the dropping ball into the net. Martino will be without Sergio Agüero , Carlos Tévez, Pablo Zabaleta, and captain Lionel Messi for Thursday’s game, but the coach still remains confident. He said during a press conference: “Neymar is in a superlative level. His return to the Brazilian team takes place in a great moment. It is a derby between two teams that have great players and I think the odds are balanced. These players are used to playing finals, classics and important games.”
