Corinthians are up against Coritiba next in the Brasileirão, and the leaders could mathematically win the title with a victory on Saturday, if Atlético Mineiro drop points.
During the training conducted on the afternoon of Thursday, coach Tite maintained his team from recent games, with midfielder Elias returning after serving a one match suspension. Elias will replace Rodriguinho who started in Corinthians’ 3-0 win over Atlético Mineiro last Sunday. Goalkeeper Cássio has recovered from a discomfort which kept him out of Wednesday’s training and worked with the group. With 73 points, Corinthians are 11 points clear of second-placed Atlético Mineiro in the Brasileirão table. If they defeat Coritiba on Saturday, and Atlético drop points on Sunday against Figueirense, then Tite’s boys will be league champions with four games left.
Corinthians line up on Saturday should be: Cássio; Edílson, Felipe, Gil, Guilherme Arana; Ralf, Elias, Jádson; Renato Augusto, Malcom, Vágner Love.
