With the retirement of Rogério Ceni and the imminent exit of Alexandre Pato and Luís Fabiano, playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso is seen as one of the main players of São Paulo for next season.
When asked about the subject during a press conference on Thursday, Ganso refused to rule out the possibility of playing for another team in 2016. In the middle of this year, Ganso had a proposal from MLS club Orlando City who agreed to forget an amount that São Paulo owe them following Kaká’s loan spell and also pay a fee to have Ganso’s rights, but the Brazilian club turned it down. Flamengo also made an offer for Ganso, but once again, it was negative response from São Paulo. Ganso said: “I will be at São Paulo in 2016? I cannot tell you that. You cannot close the door to any other club; in Brazil or worldwide. I can’t really talk about this. If I really get some proposal, we’ll sit with our president, who is now Leco, and he will tell if there’s a need to negotiate or if he want me to stay.”
