Palmeiras’ two Argentines have reportedly received special attention from European clubs in recent weeks.
An important member of the team led by coach Marcelo Oliveira, forward Jonathan Cristaldo is attracting interest from Russian clubs ahead of the next transfer window. According to Globo Esporte, the player has been observed, but a possible transfer might not be easy because of the values. Cristaldo came to Palmeiras from Ukrainian side Metalist in August last year, and cost US $3.5 million. Cristaldo is the second-highest goal scorer at the club this year with 14 goals, one behind Rafael Marques.
Clubs from Mexico and Spain have been showing interest in signing Mouche who has played just 5 matches for Palmeiras this season. After losing part of the year through a right knee injury suffered in January, Mouche returned to the team in July, but has started just two games. Cristaldo’s representative ensures that there’s no official proposal for the player, while Mouche’s press office says he’s focused on the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship.
