Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato spoke directly about his situation in São Paulo after the club"s 3-0 win over Coritiba at the Morumbi stadium.
Although he admitted that he"s leaving the club at the end of the season, Pato doesn"t know if he"d move abroad or return to Corinthians. He told reporters: “I think I will not stay in São Paulo next year. Everybody knows that they are undergoing some changes. I watched an interview with [new São Paulo president] Leco and he said it is very difficult to sign me. I want to help São Paulo in this final stretch, in these five very important games, because I want to put the team in next year"s Copa Libertadores."
Pato has been linked to clubs in England and Germany, but he doesn"t want to rule out a return to Corinthians once his loan spell comes to an end. He added: “I don"t know [where to go]. In football you never know. No atmosphere at Corinthians? No one knew if I was going to have an atmosphere here in São Paulo after I signed for a rival. I played, I"m here, I"m fine, I"m happy, I want to do my duty, then I see no problem [to return to Corinthians]. I"m a professional, I have to always do my job, which is to play football."
