Coach Rogério Micalle made ten changes to the team that started against Dominican Republic on Friday, with just full-back Maicon keeping his place, as Brazil thrashed Haiti 5-1.
In the friendly match held at the Arena Amazônia in Manaus, Santos forward Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa, who had scored a wonderful goal in the 6-1 win over Dominican Republic, returned to score a further two more and also registered an assist. Brazil took the lead through Maicon after an inch perfect through ball from Grêmio midfielder Walace. The Seleção made it 2-0 before halftime as Gabigol stole the ball from the defender before serving it on a plate for Cruzeiro striker Vinícius Araújo. Palmeiras sensation Gabriel Jesus came on at halftime and found the net within 4 minutes, following a beautiful cross from Valdívia. Felipe Anderson then won a penalty which was converted by Gabigol, who then scored his second with a tap in after good play on the left by the Lazio man and Douglas Santos. Belfort reduced the deficit three minutes from time with a great shot from distance.
