17 year old Botafogo starlet Luis Henrique has caught the eye of boss Arsene Wenger as he weighs up whether to make a move for the promising teen.

He has already established himself in The Fogao starting line up starting 15 times and scoring four goals in the process.

His agent Kia Joorachbian is thought be looking to secure a move for his client, whose current deal runs out in 2017. His release clause stands at a modest £10.5 million which may tempt Arsenal into making the move happen.

The youngster is due to don the number nine shirt for Brazil whilst away at the Under 17 World Cup later this month. This would provide the perfect platform for the 17 year old to show what he can do and with Botafogo not willing to let their newest precocious talent leave for free may cash in as early as January.

However there often can be work permit and VISA issues with youngster coming over, especially from South America. Arsenal have faced this problem a number of times, having to obtain a ‘special talent’ VISA but more recently sending out Costa Rican Joel Campbell and Brazilian youngster Wellington Silva to Spain before bringing them over to England more permanently.

Whether or not a 17 year old rookie is the answer for Arsenal remains to be seen, but by the looks of it Wenger is still on the hunt for a striker, after reports emerged he tried and failed in a loan attempt for Alexander Kokorin of Dynamo Moscow in the summer
