Chilean national team coach Jorge Sampaoli is one of the foreign coaches who"s respected highly by fans, former players and commentators in Brazil.
Before appointing Colombian coach Juan Carlos Osório, São Paulo were after Sampaoli, but a deal couldn"t materialize as the Argentine didn"t want to leave the post at Chile at that time. Former Brazilian player Tostão, recently told La Tercera that he"d like to see Sampaoli replace Dunga in the Brazilian national team. However, after the 2-0 win over the Seleção, Sampaoli said that he doesn"t understand this little obsession from Brazilians. He said: “I think [what they say about me] is a bit exaggerated. Especially coming from the people you mentioned [Brazilians], who live in a country that"s so successful in football. It"s great to see that people of a country that"s so important in football history have this opinion about me; people of a country that is not mine, but have won the most."
