PSG defender David Luiz, who had to leave the game against Chile on Thursday with a knee problem, is a doubt for Tuesday’s fixture with Venezuela.
The information was confirmed by the doctor of the Brazilian team, Rodrigo Lasmar. Brazil lost 2-0 to Chile in Santiago and David Luiz had to be replaced in the first half by his club mate Marquinhos after he landed awkwardly following a duel with Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal. Rodrigo Lasmar said: “David Luiz worries for the next game. The knee has not swollen, but he had a hyperextension of the left knee. We took a precaution, he’s kept ice and is undergoing treatment. The next 24 hours will determine whether he is able to play or not against Venezuela.”
