Brazil’s Olympic national team held their first training session on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming friendly fixtures with Dominican Republic and Haiti in Manaus.
Palmeiras revelation Gabriel Jesus, called up to the team for the first time, was included in the starting XI during training by coach Rogério Micalle. The 18-year-old formed the team’s attack along with Grêmio striker Luan and Chelsea winger Kenedy. Rogério Micalle made three changes to Brazil’s XI from their last friendly against France in September. Gabriel Jesus and AC Milan defender Rodrigo Ely came in for Álisson and Wallace respectively, both were not called up this time. Shakhtar midfielder Fred replaced São Paulo’s Rodrigo Caio who was used among the reserves.
The team lined up in a 4-3-3 formation: Éderson; Maicon, Rodrigo Ely, Dória, Douglas Santos; Lucas Silva, Fred, Felipe Anderson; Kenedy, Luan, Gabriel Jesus.
The reserve team was: Uilson; João Pedro, Marlon, Lucão, Wendell; Rodrigo Caio, Walace, Valdívia; Vitinho, Vinícius Araújo, Gabriel Barbosa.
