Santos and Palmeiras will play at home in the semifinal second leg of Copa do Brasil later this month.
On the afternoon of Monday, the draw to determine the semifinal line up of the competition was made at the CBF  headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. In the opening legs on October 21, São Paulo will be at home to rivals Santos while Fluminense host Palmeiras at the Estádio do Maracanã. Return legs will be played on the 28th at Vila Belmiro and Allianz Parque. Among the four semifinalists, São Paulo are the only team to have never won the Copa do Brasil. In 2000, they reached the final, but was defeated by Cruzeiro. Palmeiras were champions in 1998, when they beat Cruzeiro in the final, and the Verdão also won the competition in 2012 beating Coritiba. Fluminense won the 2007 edition against Figueirense, while Santos defeated Vitória and lifted the cup in 2010.
