20-year-old attacking midfielder Victor Andrade, who was a product of Santos, has drawn interest from two of the biggest clubs in English football.
Recently promoted to the senior squad, Victor Andrade is in the sights of Manchester City, and can change clubs in the next transfer window. The transfer fee quoted by the British media is £25 million, and Benfica are reluctant to start talks for a fee less than that. Besides Manchester City, another English club Chelsea are also showing interest in the Brazilian. He has scored five goals for Benfica’s B team since arriving in Portugal in July 2014 from Santos. Barcelona had a first-option on Victor Andrade before his move to Benfica, something the Catalans acquired as part of Neymar’s transfer in 2013. If he change clubs in the next window for the reported fee of £25m, then Santos would be entitled to 3% of the amount, according to the “solidarity mechanism” of FIFA.
