Agent Wagner Ribeiro has reportedly traveled to Europe this week for talks with officials in France, Italy and Spain regarding his clients Lucas Lima and Gabriel Barbosa.
According to the information from UOL Esporte, Wagner Ribeiro plans to talk about the Santos duo with representatives of major European clubs. AC Milan haven’t ended their interest in 19-year-old forward Gabigol, and the agent has personally heard the project put forward by the Italians. He also talked to Italian media recently claiming the youngster is ready to play in Europe. Consistently performing well for the club, Lucas Lima earned his national team call up this year, and has kept his place in Brazil’s squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. The report reckons Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez already asked to the agent about Lucas, and wanted to place him at Getafe as they didn’t have more places for foreigners. In the case of Barcelona, there wasn’t any concrete interest in the player last summer, but Wagner Ribeiro wants to start talks with the Catalans.
