Tite, who has a three-year contract with current Brasileirão leaders Corinthians, has expressed his desire to coach in Europe.
Tite has won the Brasileirão, Copa Libertadores and the FIFA Club World Cup with Corinthians, and is on his way to lift the Brazilian league title again this year. Interviewed by leading Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tite said he had been approached by three foreign teams. He also revealed a contact from Inter Milan in 2013 and his dream of coaching two European powerhouses, Italy and Spain. He said: “In the future I would like to lead a national team, not necessarily of Brazil. I would like to coach Italy or Spain, but after 2018, when my deal with Corinthians ends. I have a three-year contract here, but stipulating that, each year, we can sit down and see what to do next season.”
He added: “In 2013, after winning the Club World Cup and Libertadores with Corinthians, an agent approached me with the chance to coach Inter Milan. But after that, he disappeared. I was busy with Corinthians, I couldn’t give up.”
