Following the renewals of Bruno Cosendey, Andrey and Mateus Vital, Vasco have now extended the deal with youth team striker Caio Monteiro, who was the top-scorer in 2014 with 36 goals.
Considered as one of the promises at the São Janúario, Caio has been at the club since 2005 and has represented the Brazilian U17 team. The young striker who signed a new three-year contract, was thrilled with the renewal and now plans to continue showing his quality in the youth team to reach the dream of debuting for the professionals. He said in an interview with the official website of Vasco: “Very happy to have renewed my contract with Vasco. I thank God for this blessing and the club for trusting in my work. This renewal brought peace to my mind because the contract was ending and we had not yet had time to resolve it due to the large number of games. Now, all right, I will dedicate myself even more to achieve my ultimate goal; reach the professional team of Vasco.”
