FC Goa finished their UAE training camp on a losing note as they went down 4-2 against Hatta Club on Sunday.
Zico’s team trailed 2-0 at half-time and the home side went on to make it 4-0 within the first 20 minutes of the second-half. But the Brazilian Reinaldo pulled one back in the 65th minute and Victor Simões converted from the spot to reduce FC Goa’s deficit.
Coach Zico has traveled to Switzerland to pursue his campaign as a candidate for the FIFA presidency. The 62-year-old has till October 26 to file his nomination for the top spot. The elections to choose a new FIFA President will be held on 2016 February. Team manager Jonathan D’Souza said: “The coach will return to Goa on September 26. The squad will return to Goa on Tuesday morning and will re-convene to continue with their preparations in Goa.”
