Brazilian legend and FC Goa coach Zico is confident that his side will be better in the second season of Indian Super League after being eliminated in semifinals of last year’s inaugural edition.
Zico is with the team for pre-season training and conditioning camp, and says he’s much more confident of his side’s performance this year as he had been given a free hand to choose the players. The team has been training in Dubai to prepare for Indian Super League 2, and they are scheduled to play five pre-season friendlies. Zico told reporters: “The target is not like last year. We want to get better. Last year I did not know the players, the foreigners and the technical staff. In the beginning it was difficult. This year we will be better because I got to choose the Indian players and the foreigners also.”
