Dudu was slapped with a 180-day suspension by the court for his red-card against Santos in the Campeonato Paulista, but the player was notified on Tuesday that the ban has been reduced to six matches. Dudu had already served a two-match ban before the suspension, and will now miss the next four matches. During the fixture against Santos, Dudu was shown a red-card by Guilherme Ceretta de Lima but the player was seen pushing the referee from behind before marching to the dressing room crying. As mentioned in Globo Esporte, Dudu has been suspended for Palmeiras’ next fixture with Internacional for collecting too many yellow cards, and will miss a further four games, against Figueirense, Fluminense, Grêmio and São Paulo. He should be back in the squad when Verdão takes on Chapecoense in the 29th round of the Brasileirão on 4th October.
