Brendan Rodgers was left incensed by the red card to Philippe Coutinho that will rule Liverpool"s most important player out of their trip to Old Trafford.
The Brazil international was sent off in the 52nd minute of the 3-0 defeat to West Ham for a clumsy tackle on Dimitri Payet, having picked up his first booking for showing dissent to referee Kevin Friend just before half-time. Rodgers was quoted in Daily Mail: “Kevin [referee] must have really good ears if he can hear what he has said. He is not that type of player. If he has been booked [for dissent], I would be really surprised. I thought both sendings off were very, very harsh to be fair."
