It seemed that Manchester United had finally ended their interest in Felipe Anderson but after midweek results they are set to return with another bid.

Anderson had stated that he was staying with Lazio to compete in the Champions League with them but they crashed out in the play off round. A disastrous 3-0 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday meant they departed 3-1 on aggregate.

According to information from Tutto Mercato, United will offer  €40 million for the player. Anderson may now be tempted as it may lift his profile which in turn will give him a chance to break into the Brazil squad.

Manchester United safely progressed to the Champions League group stages and were drawn in a group alongside PSV Eindhoven, CSKA Moscow and Wolfsburg.
