Monaco right back Fabinho has been called up to the Brazil squad to replace the injured Dani Alves.

Alves suffered a thigh injury while playing for Barcelona over the weekend meaning he will miss the tour to the USA. Brazil are due to face Costa Rica and the USA early next month.

Fabinho will now get another opportunity to show what he can do. The 21 year old was selected for the Copa America during the summer but remained on the bench as Alves played every minute.

Fabinho was due to play for the Under-23 team who are warming up for the Olympics next year with a friendly against France on September 8th.
