Torino Chairman Urbano Cairo has discussed the futuresof defender Bruno Peres and forward Amauri.

The duo have been strongly linked with moves away from the Granata over recent days, but as yet, no concrete transfers have materialised.

Speaking in an interview with Tuttosport, Cairo outlined what he expected to happen with both players and was particularly adamant that Peres – a reported target for FC Porto and Roma – would definitely not be sold.

“He is not up for discussion, he stays here.” he said of the Brazilian, as reported by the website of respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Cairo’s assessment of Amauri was less conclusive. The 35 year-old has been paired with a possible move to Serie A newcomers Carpi and Cairo concedes that they and other clubs could lure him away.

“At the moment he remains a Torino player and he trains with us, we are evaluating the situation there are more clubs than just Carpi interested in him,” he outlined.

Amauri has a contract with Torino until June 2016. He arrived at the club on a free transfer from Parma in September 2014 and has scored three goals in 28 appearances in all competitions.

Peres also joined Torino around the same time last summer. He was signed from Santos for a reported fee of €2 million and featured 36 times last season.
