Although initial rumours were just hearsay, it seems that Manchester United are truly serious in their pursuit of Barcelona forward Neymar.
The Red Devils have put into place a plan that they hope will bring the 23 year old to Old Trafford at some point in the future. There may be no time to conclude a deal during this transfer window but United are aiming to pull some strings that will make a future deal a reality.
Neymar is open to joining the 13 time Premier League champions but there are many who think the Brazilian is just fishing for a bumper new Barca deal. Despite this, reports in Brazil’s GloboEsporte say that United have already offered £140 million to the Spanish club.
Most other news sources, such as broadsheet paper The Guardian, suggest that Manchester United may delay a bid this summer and aim to conclude a deal next year.
