After failing to land the signature of Pedro, Manchester United have now targeted Felipe Anderson to reinforce their midfield options.

Anderson has been a target for United all summer but their interest grew cold once they started pursuing Pedro. This was until Premier League rivals Chelsea snatched the Spaniard from under their noses and now Louis van Gaal has turned his attention back to 22 year old Anderson.

The Lazio playmaker had a terrific season in the Seria A last year and recently made his debut for Brazil. Reports by Gazzetta Dello Sport and ESPN indicate that United would have to spend nearly €50 million to secure his services.

Anderson started his career at Santos before moving to Lazio two year ago for €7.8 million.
