Alex Sandro has admitted that his move to Juventus ‘has always been my dream’.

The Brazil international – capped six times since debuting in 2011 – was signed from FC Porto for a reported fee of €26 million earlier this month.

Juventus moved for him after he rejected the chance to renew his contract and with his deal expiring in June 2016, Porto were forced into selling him to ensure he did not eventually leave on a free transfer.

Juventus chose to unveil Sandro on Monday and in his conversations with the media, the 24 year-old outlined why he has joined the Bianconeri and what he hopes to bring to the team.

“One of my most important attributes is that I’m someone who always wants to win,” he said, as reported by website Football Italia.

“I’ll give 100 per cent to win, always looking to defend and attack well. I’ll try to show my quality during training and during games.

“What brought me to Juve was that this has always been my dream, it’s always been my desire to play for Juventus. This is a dream come true for me.”

Sandro could make his Juventus debut when they face Roma in their second Serie A match of the new season on Sunday.

The left full-back, who has signed a five-year contract, will compete with veteran Patrice Evra for a starting role.
