Rush thinks Costa has been “sussed out” by Premier League defenders as opposition players now know how to take advantage of the striker’s temper.
The Brazilian born Spain international scored 20 league goals last season despite suffering from a string of hamstring issues. The game against Manchester City last week saw Costa lose his temper following an aerial challenge from Fernandinho just before the break and the striker appeared visibly infuriated as the two teams left the pitch at half-time. Rush was quoted in Evening Standard: “Costa had a good season last year but people have sussed him out now and are trying to unravel him.
