Internazionale are considering offering Brazilian defender Juan Jesus as part of an exchange for Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam, according to reports.

The website of respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the Milan based outfit have grown frustrated in their pursuit of Real Madrid full-back Fábio Coentrão and are now considering alternative options.

Amongst those who could be targeted is Algeria international Ghoulam and the report on Di Marzio’s website suggests Juan Jesus may be used as a makeweight.

The 24 year-old spent time playing at left full-back last season, but with Head Coach Roberto Mancini pursuing a more orthodox option and the arrival of fellow Brazilian Miranda and Colombian Jeison Murillo to play at centre-back, it is plausible that he may be sacrificed.

Juan was signed by Inter from Internacional for a reported fee of €3.8 million in January 2012 and has a contract with the club until June 2018.

Last term, he featured 45 times in all competitions, which includes 32 appearances in Serie A.

With Inter undergoing a major overhaul this summer, as they look to compete for a top three finish in the new campaign, a number of regular starters have come under pressure for their place in Mancini’s squad and Juan could be the latest to be moved on.
