Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta has refused to rule out a move away from the Ligue 1 club.
The Italy international – he was born in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, but represents the Azzurri – has been strongly linked with moves to former employees Atlético de Madrid and Internazionale, as well as the latter’s city rivals, Milan.
Motta’s contract with PSG only runs until June 2016 and despite the club’s manager Laurent Blanc insisting he would like to retain him, the veteran remains open to a transfer elsewhere.
"The market is open until August 31 and I’m open to every possibility," he told website Gazzetta, as reported by Football Italia.
"I respect the words of the President [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] but I don’t agree, I say that until August 31 I’m open to everything, as with the rest of the market.
"I know the responsibility that I have in this team, but we must understand if PSG thinks like I do.
"Maybe they’re right and maybe I am, but we must find an agreement."
Motta has been with PSG since they signed him from Inter for a reported fee of €11.5 million in January 2012. With them, he has featured 118 times and won nine major honours.
Despite his ongoing transfer saga, the 32 year-old has featured in both of PSG’s Ligue 1 matches this season, including playing 75 minutes in Sunday’s 2-0 win at home to GFC Ajaccio.
