Juventus are looking to take advantage of a contract dispute between Alex Sandro and owners Porto to secure the left full-back, according to reports.

The website of respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the Bianconeri’s Sporting Director, Fabio Paratici has enquired about Sandro’s situation, after he rejected Porto’s latest offer for a contract renewal.

The Brazil international – capped six times since debuting in 2011 – only has a deal until June 2016 and if a new agreement is not found, then he could leave on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

With that in mind, Porto may look to cash in this summer and Juventus are seemingly ready to pounce.

They had looked to sign Sandro earlier in the transfer window, but were put off by Porto’s valuation of between €25 million and €30 million.

Atlético de Madrid’s Guilherme Siqueira has reportedly been secured as an alternative, but it is believed Juventus would veto that deal if Sandro is attainable for a lower fee.

The 24 year-old was signed from Santos for a reported fee of €9.6 million in July 2011 and has gone on to make 133 appearances for Porto.

He has also won three major honours with the club, including two Primeira Liga titles.
