Vasco da Gama have completed the signings of Cruzeiro midfielder Felipe Seymour and Internacional forward Jorge Henrique.

The former has agreed to join on loan until the end of the current Brasileirão campaign in December, while Jorge Henrique has been picked up on a free transfer and will be contracted through to the end of 2016.

The duo have been brought in to further swell the options at Head Coach Celso Roth’s disposal and will be available for Vasco’s next league match at home to Coritiba on Saturday.

The Gigante da Colina were promoted back to the top flight this season, but have found life hard in the Brasileirão.

After 18 rounds, they sit bottom of the standings on 13 points – seven adrift of safety – and have both the worst attacking and defensive records in the league.

In their last outing, they were beaten 1-0 away at Santos and had veteran midfielder Pablo Guiñazú sent off.

The signings of Seymour and Jorge Henrique will offer Roth the chance to refresh his line up in the coming weeks.

Seymour had been at Cruzeiro since joining from Genoa on a free transfer in January, but only made one appearance for the club and failed to make a single squad for a Brasileirão match.

Henrique is more experienced in Brazilian football, having spent time with Botafogo and Sport Recife, as well as Internacional, and this season has featured eleven times in all competitions, scoring once.

It is hoped that the 33 year-old can quickly build a partnership will fellow new signing Nenê to improve Vasco’s attacking threat.
