"This month we begin the countdown of 365 days that separate us from the beginning of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brazil, we count the days to the big event and expect the presence of everyone: athletes, coaches and fans, people of all nations who will join us in a great festival of sport. We await you, you who are reading now my message and my invitation."
"This edition of the Games will take place in the "Marvelous City", Rio de Janeiro, where you can discover one of the best views of the country, friendly people, Copacabana Beach, Sugar Loaf and the Maracanã Stadium, where the opening ceremony and the finals of the Olympic Football competition will be held. "I think that sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games are an important mechanism for promoting development, the fight against social discrimination, economic, ethnic and gender. Sport offers opportunities for young people through healthy competition, in which athletes spend years of their lives in search of victory. We will show in Brazil that the nationalities, religions and the most different cultures can coexist in peace and harmony.New heroes will be born, and a part of Olympic history will be written on the sand, in the sea and in the sports arenas of Rio de Janeiro. We want to share with you our culture and hospitality. Come live Rio 2016 and be part of the Olympic dream! In 2016, the world is found in Brazil! "
