After a short rest period, the Chinese league got away again today, and Ricardo Goulart continued his excellent goalscoring form for Guangzhou Evergrande since signing from Cruzeiro.
The midfielder got a stoppage time winner in Evergrande’s 1-0 win over Jiangsu Guoxin-Sainty, receiving the ball on the edge of the area before cutting in front of his marker and unleashing a left-footed strike.
The win took his side top of the table and Goulart was unsurprisingly delighted. He said: “We had many chances throughout the game, but the ball looked like it would never go in. We kept on right to the end and got the winning goal in stoppage time. It’s great to return the championship with the victory, the goal and leading the league.”
