West Ham United are reportedly targeting a bid for unsettled Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva, in a bid to replace Alex Song after his return to parent club Barcelona.

Lucas was left out of Brendan Rodgers’ starting line-up against Stoke City amidst rumours of a row between the pair, with the Reds boss reportedly prepared to listen to offers for the Brazil international.

Lucas joined Liverpool from Grêmio in 2007 and still has two years remaining on his contract, but the 28-year-old is likely to find first-team opportunities limited this season, should he choose to stay at Anfield.
