The Brazilian, who had looked to be on his way out of the club this summer, now appears to be close to signing a new deal.
As mentioned in MARCA, his contract extension could be wrapped up very soon. With Douglas sidelined for two months through injury, Barça appear to have changed their mind and decided to offer Adriano a new deal. Adriano’s agent said this summer that his client was prepared to leave and Roma came close to signing him. Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernández already said at yesterday’s press conference that he was convinced the full-back would stay at Barça.
