Neymar played his first football in over a month yesterday and capped off a fine comeback with a goal.
After an exhausting season last year with the Catalan club Neymar also participated in the Copa America. He was given extra time off by coach Luis Enrique but now looks raring to go.
His goal came just 25 minutes into Bracelona’s game against Roma in the Joan Gamper tournament. The final scoreline was 3-0 which meant Barcelona have won the friendly trophy for the third season in succession.
“I liked his performance,” Luis Enrique told the Spanish press when asked about Neymar. “He played well like everyone else. At this level, players are preparing well during the holidays. They are professionals and they know they have to be careful. They all came back at a very high level.”
