Al-Nasr SC have confirmed that they have secured an agreement with Internacional to sign forward Nilmar.

The fee the UAE Arabian Gulf League outfit are set to part with to sign him is current undisclosed, but when announcing the deal on their official Instagram account, they stated that the contract will run for two years.

“Al Nasr Club has reached an agreement with Internacional for the signing of Nilmar for two seasons,” read the statement, as reported by the National.

“The player will head to Munich on Saturday to undergo medical tests and complete the move before joining the club’s training camp in Germany.”

Nilmar has been brought in by Al-Nasr as a likely replacement for forward Ibrahima Touré, who is expected to move on after failing to report for the club’s pre-season training camp.

The Brazilian will join Jonathan Pitropia and fellow Brazilian Renan as Al-Nasr’s foreign quota for the new season, while former Chile international Luis Jiménez will be register as their Asian player, due to his Palestinian passport.

Nilmar, who had recently outlined his desire to stay, leaves Internacional on the back of their Copa Libertadores de América semi-final defeat to UANL.

The 31 year-old only rejoined the club where he started his career in September 2014, after spending most of his career abroad, first with Lyon and Villarreal in Europe, then Al-Rayyan and El-Jaish SC in Qatar.

During his second spell with Internacional, he won the 2015 Campeonato Gaúcho, while this season he featured 15 times across the Brasileirão and Copa Libertadores, scoring six goals.
