Monaco have agreed a fee with São Paulo to secure attacking midfielder Boschilia, according to reports.

Globo Esporte, as cited by website Get French Football News, claims that Monaco’s offer of around €10 million has been accepted by São Paulo and that the deal could be announced imminently.

Boschilia is expected to arrive for medical examinations and to discuss personal terms in the coming days, with the deal said to be a formality if these obstacles can be passed.

The 19 year-old has come to prominence at São Paulo in recent years, due to his form for them and Brazil’s under-17 and under-20 teams.

At the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, he netted six goals – one less than tournament top scorer Valmir Berisha – to help Brazil reach the quarter-final stage, where they were defeated by Mexico.

With São Paulo, he made his first-team debut at the start of 2014 and has slowly began to feature more regularly.

Last season, he made 18 appearances in the Brasileirão, scoring once, while this term he’s so far being involved in seven matches in all competitions and also netted a single goal.

His likely arrival at Monaco further adds to the growing group of young players that have been brought into the club.

Already this summer, Stephan El Shaarawy (Milan), Ivan Cavaleiro (Benfica), Guido Carrillo (Estudiantes de La Plata) Mario Pašalić (Chelsea) and Adama Traoré (LOSC) have been signed, with Monaco seemingly looking to build a core of promising talent.
