Back from the Pan American Games where he scored five goals for Brazil, Corinthians striker Luciano may soon be leaving the Timão again, this time for good, after Yahoo Sports reported that Belgian side Genk have made an offer to for the centre-forward who does not appear to be part of coach Tite’s plans.

The proposal is reported to be valued at €2 million and would allow Corinthians some breathing space in their current financial crisis. Luciano, who had an excellent Paulista Championship in 2014, has gradually lost his place in the Timão squad.

Luciano was a key player for Brazil’s Under-22 side as they finished in third-place at the Pan American games, losing 2-1 to Uruguay in the semi-final before defeating Panama 3-1 after extra-time in the third placed play-off.
