After excelling with Chile in the Copa America, Internacional’s Charles Aránguiz seems set to move to Europe, with Marseilles, Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen all reported to be in the running for his signature.

But it is the German club, if their president Michael Schade is to be believed, which are closest to making the deal a reality, although they are yet to come to an official agreement. Schade told the Kölner Express: “Aránguiz wants to come any way. We found an agreement with the player, but not with the club.”

Internacional have been seeking the sum of €15 million for the 26-year-old defensive midfielder.
