Atlético Mineiro goalkeeper Victor has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Belo Horizonte club, who have also tied down Douglas Santos and Rafael Carioca to long-term deals.
Saint Victor, as he is known by Galo fans, signed from Grêmio in 2012 and quickly became a cult hero, with his performances during the club’s 2013 Copa Libertadores winning campaign earning him legendary status at the club.
Since his move the 32-year-old has played 185 games for Atlético, winning five titles in the process, including the Libertadores and last year’s Copa do Brasil.
