Levante have announced that they have reached an agreement with Belenenses for forward Deyverson.

The Valencia based outfit confirmed on Monday that the Brazilian will arrive for medical examinations and if they are successful, then the transfer could be completed on the same day.

Reports suggest that Levante will part with around €2 million to secure Deyverson, while how long his contract will be is currently unclear.

The 24 year-old moves to Spain on the back of a mixed loan spell in Germany at 1. FC Köln. He joined them in February of this year and managed two goals in nine appearances.

His time with Belenenses, who signed him from Benfica in August 2013, was more fruitful. For the Portuguese side he netted 12 times in 34 matches and also contributed two assists.

His protracted switch to Levante could not be more timely, with manager Lucas Alcaraz still trying to shape his squad for the new season.

The tactician has had to cope with the loss of forward David Barral to United Arab Emirates based side Al-Dhafra, while Kalu Uche has also moved on.

So far, the only forward to be brought in is Algerian Nabil Ghilas, but Deyverson’s expected arrival should help swell Alcaraz’s options.
