Veteran striker Nenê is still searching for a club after having no luck so far back home in Brazil.
The 34 year old has been without a club since the end of last season when West Ham released him after a short three month spell in England. He has been trying his luck back home but Santos coach Dorival Junior has said they are not interested.
“I’m honest with you. I’m not talking about players that may interest us. I have known Nenê since he was young. I worked with him when he was in Jundiai. Santos had a look at him but we won’t be making an offer.”
Nenê is best remembered for his time at Paris Saint Germain where he was top scorer in Ligue 1 in the 2011-12 season.
