Filipe Luís has yet to complete his move to Atletico Madrid but Chelsea have already made a bid for his replacement.
According to the Express, Chelsea are set to sign Augsburg left back Baba Rahman. The 21 year old will be offered a five year deal worth £27,000 a week if the clubs come to an agreement.
Despite Chelsea sounding hopeful the move is a long way from being complete according to Augsburg chairman Jonas Hoffman.
“We do not need the Baba millions. We have a good solid team here. I am very optimistic that Baba will continue his great performances with us.”
Meanwhile Filipe Luís’ move back to Atletico has been held up as the club are still waiting for the relevant papers from Chalsea to complete the deal.
