Young Chelsea right back Wallace has moved to Serie A newcomers Carpi on a season long loan.

Carpi will then have an option to buy the 21 year old at the end of the season. The full back, who started his career at Fluminense, has found it hard to break into the Chelsea first team and spent last year on loan at Vitesse in the Netherlands.

Carpi FC have just been promoted to the Serie A for the first time in their history and are one of the smallest clubs ever to play in the Italian top flight. Their average attendance last year was around 4,000 and they are one of the favourites for relegation this term.
